Contemporary lighting has been on the cutting edge on lighting design with hints of eco-friendliness. Here we have the Odyssey Suspension Lamp seen at the ICFF. These pendants are made of melded recyled beer bottles that are molded into the shape of a fire hydrant lid. Designer Ismael Quintero found the lid used as a mold while wandering Wall Street during the aftermath of September 11, 2001. Engraved in the pendant is "Nostri Lumen Est Una", translating "Our Light is One." Nonetheless, this light fixture is a tribute to September 11.
